Ripple Therapeutics Corporation is a clinical stage, privately held company that is focused on ophthalmic therapeutics with controllable, sustainable drug delivery. Scientific and engineering resources will perform work on the development of Ripple’s lead product IBE-814 IVT for the treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema and Retinal Vein Occlusion. The project will require analysis of data generated from the ongoing clinical trial, and development and scale up of the product for the next stages on the path to commercialization.
The funding provided from the IAP program is to assist innovative, early stage small-and medium-sized enterprises that are unable to access existing COVID-19 business support.
The goal of this project is to engineer unique drug delivery systems using prodrug materials that will improve upon current controlled drug release technologies for the treatment of opioid use disorder. This will involve evaluating chemically modifying an API so that it can be processed into a sustained release injectable form that exhibits surface erosion based drug release without the use of polymers or excipients. This work will be pursued for APIs in the opioid antagonist drug class
