This study will to investigate the feasibility of sequencing the major rRNAs in an RNA preparation using a nucleic acid sequencing technology in order to quantify the degree of rRNA fragmentation within the sample. RNA sequencing could then be used as a diagnostic tool to measure RNA disruption in samples taken from cancer patients during chemotherapy.
