To contribute to the improvement of Canada's search and rescue system, this project will create a volunteer recruitment and retention plan and toolkit, therefore sustaining the volunteer marine and rescue community on British Columbia's west coast. Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR) will achieve this by assessing and identifying practices, integrating findings, and developing a plan that will facilitate recruitment and long-term retention of RCMSAR volunteers on BC's west coast.
