Scale-up manufacturing and sales activities of precision agriculture system
Semios provides crop management insights as a service for high value tree fruit, vine and nut farms. Leveraging a proprietary wireless network, machine learning and big data analytics, we help growers manage risks associated with frost, pollination, bloom, disease and harvest. This project extends this recommendation capability to actionable irrigation control and overlays nutrition for a co-optimized solution.
Semios will advance its platform to include a next generation suite of IoT hardware and applications to be leveraged by third-party users in all crops and geographies.
This project will support the firm in their development of an accurate microclimate data and agronomic model-based service for acres within fruit and nut orchards that have few or no climate sensors. This will involve integration of new distributes wireless sensor technology and agronomic models calculated from real and predicted microclimate data.
Develop and commercialize semiochemical-based, safe and environmentally sustainable control technologies for important public health (bed bug repellent) and agricultural insect pests.
This project will enhance the Semios integrated pest management platform by evaluating and optimizing the holistic effects of architecture and automated counting on the efficacy of Semios camera traps in commercial agriculture, and development of a new range of regulatory compliant Organic aerosolized pheromone products for mating disruption of several economically important insect pests.
This project will support the initial evaluation stages of a combination of new cellular technologies that could potentially be used to provide extended range coverage compared to LTE cellular and the firm's existing data network, within the challenging radio environment of dense foliage orchards.
Semios will register a new mating disruption product “Semios EGVM Plus” in Europe. We will perform four efficacy trials in Spain targeting lobesia botrana and build out our data package prior to submission to the French agency.
The purpose of this CanExport SMEs agreement is to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for activities related to export market development that are part of an export business case for a specific target market, particularly where activities are targeting departmental priority markets and sectors.
This Youth project will provide employment for a recent computer engineering graduate in the role of a firmware developer for a precision agriculture company.
This project will give employment for a youth in the field of precision agriculture in the role of Data Analyst for Almond Crops.
This project will give employment for a youth in a precision agriculture company in the role of Data Analyst for Stone Fruit Crops.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills. The CSJ program is delivered by the Department of ESD.
