Upgrading and expansion of facilities: the project aims to improve the quality of the tourism offer and the accommodation capacity of the Uapishka Station located north of the city of Baie-Comeau.
This project is intended to address the deficiencies exposed by the recent surge in search and rescue responses in the Groulx Mountains. Ultimately, the project aims to reduce the number of interventions required per year. It is therefore planned to facilitate communications and tracking of backcountry users, to improve the infrastructure for the coordination of search and rescue operations and to structure user awareness.
Optimization of installations: The project aims to modernize the tourism product of an enterprise operating in the accomodation and aboriginal tourism sector, so that it may adapt its services to the present market context.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
