In this project, Summit Nanotech will develop and validate their proprietary, green nanotechnology-based lithium extraction technology for deployment as a modular unit to well sites in the field. The technology will help lithium mining companies more reliably and quickly produce high-quality product at higher yields, with lower operation costs and lower environmental impacts, including less water use and decreased GHG emissions.
This project will focus on the on-site technology validation and process optimization of a proprietary nanotechnology-based direct lithium extraction (DLE) solution tailored to a local lithium producer's brine assets.
The scope of this project is the construction and piloting of the company's MVP, the denaLi™ C DLE process in Chile, South America. Summit has purchased a 40' sea container and with the help of local engineering firms will fabricate and install modules that integrate to perform a full end-to-end lithium extraction and carbonation process. The 40' pilot unit will be transported to Chile at the end of Q4 2021 and piloting will begin in Q1, 2022. We will be working with brine from 6 different salars in Chile, allowing us to gather data, validate our technology, gain customer trust and learn abou
