This project will support the conversion of the Bromont charge-coupled device (CCD) production line from 150 mm to 200 mm, allowing increased efficiency and performance. The project’s work phase is scheduled to end on September 30, 2027.
A lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) instrument is a remote sensing device that determines the range to an object by emitting laser pulses towards it and analyzing the reflection. By emitting multiple pulses, a lidar can create an accurate 3D point cloud of the target object. Teledyne Optech is a leader in the lidar industry and develops and manufactures advanced lidar survey systems that are currently being used on Earth and in Space. Teledyne Optech's proposed AI-Enabled 2-Axis Scanner will use an enhanced dual-axis scanning technique to collect frames of lidar data at a high rate, process
Teledyne Optech proposes a 3 dimensional (3D) Imaging Lidar System that provides a real-time infrared image with depth information for each pixel. This system can potentially enable spacecraft to handle complex tasks, such as scanning for suitable landing/docking locations, by producing an instantaneous 3D model of the target area without further processing or trajectory information. This project builds on technology previously developed by Teledyne Optech under the CSA program AO 5.4 Industrial Capability-Building Contribution. This proposed project aims to optimize performance and capabili
