This project is mostly related to technology research and development.
The National Research Council (NRC) and the Natural Resource Canada (NRCan) aim to identify and promote cost-effective approaches for net-zero industrial processes that could include renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, electrification or other technologies that replace process heating requirements.
TerraFixing will design, build, and validate a 250-tonne-per-year Direct Air Capture pilot unit optimized for cold climates. The project includes finalizing engineering design, fabricating and integrating all subsystems, and completing controlled and real-world operational testing. This work will demonstrate reliable, high-purity CO2 production, advance the technology toward commercial readiness, and strengthen Canada’s clean-technology manufacturing and deployment capacity.

The purpose of this project is to develop a rapid design and testing process for dies used in the lab-scale production of Terrafixing’s zeolite monoliths. This project enhances research and development efforts for monolith structures in carbon capture technology, facilitating the efficient production of structured zeolites and strengthening the Firm's innovation capacity.
TerraFixing develops Direct Air Capture units to support global decarbonization, capture CO2 for storage/sequestration, and provide high-purity CO2 for utilization. This project aims to support hiring youth to achieve the firm's goals by contributing to engineering design, electrical integration, supporting project management, and drafting technical documentation.
The purpose of this CanExport Innovation agreement is to support Canadian organizations to carry out activities related to pursuing opportunities that would lead to establishing new collaborative Research and Development (R&D) partnerships between the Recipient and foreign organizations in order to support R&D on the Recipient’s technology and advance its commercialization.
Through the application of national and local priorities, the CSJ program seeks to provide youth, particularly those who face barriers to employment with access to work opportunities. Funded employers must demonstrate that they are providing quality work experiences for youth that provide opportunities to develop and improve their skills.
