Canada-Germany 3+2 SSQC with IconPro, Aachen University and Ford (Germany) and NRC and the University of Waterloo (Canada). The main focus of this international project will be to develop a set of ultrasound-based monitoring and artificial intelligence (AI) processing systems for each of resistance spot welding (RSW) and laser brazing (LBW). These systems will rely on real-time automated ultrasonic inspection, which requires the design and development of new single-element or phased array probes for monitoring each joining process. An AI system will automatically interpret the ultrasonic nonde
This project aims to develop and validate a novel matrix ultrasonic probe for inspecting composite structures used in modern eVTOL aircraft. Integrated into a portable inspection system and supported by machine learning–based automated analysis, the solution will improve inspection speed, defect detection accuracy, and operational reliability compared to conventional ultrasonic methods.
Tessonics and OBARA Korea will create a new first of its kind, disruptive technology used by every automotive production plant in the world by integrating Tessonic's Real-Time Integrated Weld Analyzer (RIWA) with OBARA's world class Adaptive Weld Controller. This new jointly created product between Korea and Canada will provide real-time ultrasonic analysis of the state of the weld with weld controller feedback to analyze the integrity of critical spot welds and make modifications on the spot. No such technology exists currently in the world and it is expected that adoption even within Tesson
As part of the international consortium project [AI4PE], this project will focus on the development of an ultrasonic method and algorithms based on artificial intelligence for nondestructive evaluation of electrofusion joints in construction of gas and water polyethylene pipelines, resulting in the design of a prototype device for practical use in field condition.
This project will test hypotheses and experiment with new mechanisms to design (or optimize) a repeatable and scalable business process, which may result in new business methods for Ultrasound NDT equipment for metal joints.
The topic of this Project is focused on resistance spot welding (RSW) technology which plays a very important role in today’s sheet assembly industries, and automotive industry being one of its biggest users. Introduction of new metals and coating types as well as increased product quality assurance requirements have created big demand for real-time adaptive welding controllers capable of adjusting welding schedule to ensure acceptable quality of every joint.
Design, build and test a system for inspection of one-sided welds.
This project will upgrade the current 3D-TRUBI prototype by implementing an advanced transcranial imaging mode to improve real-time imaging performance and spatial resolution.
We have built a wrist worn device to improve sleep quality and quantity. This device uses several sensors to accurately, in real time detect sleep stages and help the user naturally obtain better sleep. The goal of this project is to ensure the prototypes meet all requirements for clinical trials. This will include improving device noise performance, improving device stimulation accuracy, enabling OTA updates, developing software to detect changes in delta waves and ensuring enclosure is compliant with IP65.
Tessonics is in the final stages of releasing a new Cold Spray device. We are currently in process of completing the final production version of the hardware and we require additional help for the final release of the device. We plan to modify the prototype device with new portability of the device for field applications and development of the powder feeding system.
